There are five levels of association within the company:

  1. Independent Consultants (Board Certified Behaviour Analysts)
    Independent Consultants are associates that have completed and are maintaining certification with the Behaviour Analysis Certification Board (BACB).
  2. Supervised Consultants (Behaviour Consultants pre-certification and newly certified)
    Supervised Consultants have met has the requirements for certification with the Behaviour Analysis Certification Board (BACB) but are not yet certified or are newly certified.
  3. Behaviour Analysts Training Consultants
    Behaviour Analysts Training Consultants are associates that are in the process of completing the certification requirements for certification as behaviour analysts (BCBA).
  4. Associate Behaviour Analysts Training Consultants
    Associate Behaviour Analyst Training Consultants are associates that are in the process of completing the certification requirements for certification as Associate behaviour analysts (BCABA).
  5. Behaviour Interventionist Associate
    Behaviour Interventionist are associates that are implementing behaviour analytic curricula under the direction of an BCBA certified behaviour analyst.

Associates at each of these levels are provided with mentorship and professional development opportunities, as well as supervision for the completion of certification requirements for the BCBA and BCABA levels of the Behaviour Analysis Certification Board.

The following guidelines describe the supervision standards that the trainees will complete at each level of association with the SBAI:

Independent and Supervised Consultants

Independent Consultant associates will provide their clients with behaviour analytic services that adhere to the BACB Guidelines for Responsible Conduct and Professional Disciplinary and Ethical Standards determined by the BACB. Consultants at this level may also provide training to BCBA and BCABA Training Consultants.

All of the clients supervised by the Independent Consultants will be represented by SBAI.

Behaviour Analyst Training Consultants

Training Consultants will complete the supervisory requirements determined by the BACB.

Behaviour Interventionist Associate

Behaviour Interventionist associates will provide behaviour intervention services to families whom work with BCBA certified behaviour analysts.
